Fairplex main lotGeorge Cross & Sons, Inc. presents the West Coast’s Largest Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show seven times per year. At each event, you will find hundreds of vendors in over 2,000 vendor spaces selling tons of hard to find car parts and accessories at low swap meet prices.
Thousands of original and restored classic vehicles will be on display and for sale in six specialized Car Corral sections: Pre 1985 Classics, any year Corvettes, any year Porsches, Pre 1959 Street Rods, Pre 1985 Volkswagens and Pre 1985 Imports.
Since 1975, millions of automotive enthusiasts have come to Pomona from across the nation and around the world to find car parts, accessories, automobilia, customs and classics. Make plans to participate in our next event! Come to buy, come to sell, come to look!
General admission is $10, children 12 and under are admitted FREE.

NHRA Museum's Twilight Cruise Night June 7

If it's the first Wednesday of the month, it's the NHRA Museum's Twilight Cruise Night with fun for all ages to enjoy hundreds of hot rods, classic cars and even a few vintage race cars on display.Experience music, food, fun and just $3 to visit the historic Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum after 3 p.m. on cruise nights.
Cruise-ins, $5 entry per car, will receive a ticket for the drawing held during the evening for a chance to win a cash prize. Museum members are free; spectators not cruising in are admitted free to the cruise..

The Summer Series

Veteran's Coffee Klatch June 6th 9am - 10am
ALL VETERANS ARE WELCOME!!!
We invite all veterans to join in, meet other veterans from the area and share whatever is on your mind. Planes of Fame Executive Director Jerry Wilkins will host, complimentary refreshments will be served and museum admission is waived for attending veterans and their guests. The Kilroy Coffee Klatch will be held in the Maloney hangar at Planes of Fame Air Museum from 9-10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Planes of Fame is honored to serve as a venue for our veterans to gather. We hope this monthly meeting will provide an enjoyable and meaningful exchange of ideas for our veterans.
Hot coffee is provided by our local Starbucks on the corner of Schaeffer and Euclid Ave in Chino. We would like to thank Leesa and her staff that make the coffee for every Veteran Klatch that we host!
Olivia Newton-John diagnosed with breast cancer

Iconic performer Olivia Newton-John is once again battling breast cancer.The singer and actress announced on her Facebook page Tuesday that what she originally believed to be back pain was actually breast cancer that had metastasized to her lower back.
Newton-John will undergo photon radiation therapy and expects to resume her tour later this year.
"I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia," Newton-John said in a news release.
Newton-John's upcoming performances -- including one on June 8 at the Stafford Center -- have been postponed. Ticket holders should contact the venue directly for refund information.
"Parents who host, lose the most" is a graduation season reminder that parties with underage drinking is illegal.
Pomona PD congratulates the graduating seniors of 2017. With graduation celebrations occurring, we want residents to celebrate responsibly. "Parents who host, lose the most" is a public awareness program educating communities and parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties.
We would like to remind families and parents that hosting parties with underage drinking is illegal. You will be held liable for the violations and will be responsible for more than $1,000 in fines and potential jail time.

Ride Around Pomona June 3rd

This months theme is "Gardens and Terrible Trees of Pomona." The ride will discover all aspects of our neighborhood, community and co-op gardens. We will also see the worst trees that our government and our neighbors have planted.
Ride Around Pomona is a community bicycle ride through the streets of Pomona. The ride is family friendly and free!
Meet at Thomas Plaza, downtown Pomona at 8:30am every first Saturday of the month.
Thomas Plaza is located at the intersection of Thomas St. and 2nd St., downtown Pomona (Across from the Glass House)
The ride is a casual pace, the terrain flat, cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to join us. Ride and chat, meet new people, see new neighborhoods, get some exercise and enjoy the morning!

Open to the public, Planes of Fame Air Museum (Chino, CA) presents its monthly Living History Flying Day on June 3, 2017, featuring the North American F-86 Sabre. A speaker panel of distinguished aviation experts, historians and veterans is featured, followed by a question & answer period and flight demonstration when possible. The North American F-86 Sabre will be on display and perform a flight demonstration. At 12:00 noon, the Raffle Flight will occur. Become a member to enter the Raffle. All members are eligible to enter the Raffle, but you must be present to win.
Distinguished veterans, aviation experts, and historians constitute the presentation panel. Stay tuned for announcement of special speakers. Kev...in Thompson (POF Moderator and Aviation Historian) moderates and joins in the presentation.

Tiger Woods arrested for DUI in Florida
JUPITER, Fla. (KABC) --
Tiger Woods has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Florida.According to records on the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office website, the golf great was booked into the county jail around 7 a.m. Monday.
Authorities confirmed to ABC affiliate WPBF that Woods was arrested on a DUI charge around 3 a.m. on Military Trail, just south of Indian Creek Parkway, in Jupiter.
Booking records show that Woods, 41, was released at 10:50 a.m. on his own recognizance.
No other information has been made available.
