A view from my front porch, you can see my Pomona Grove. And that's my truck, every once in awhile, I water my truck. In hoping I can grow a new transmission, *&^%
| I have Blood Oranges, Avocado's, Grapes to your left, for some reason, they grew some grapes, then the vines just died. But I still have a few green leaves as you can see, so maybe it will hang in there. And I have a few more fruit trees, loquat tree, and a apricot tree |
And I have my Smudge pot that I rescued and one of those cement water irrigation things. And you can see off in the distance, there is my packing plant.
There it is to your right of the picture. I saved that and the smudge pot, from the orange groves up in north Pomona, when they plowed them over back in the early 1970's. The smudge pot had some slight damage, but I fixed it. And that water irrigation, I had a little problem with that. It was &^% heavy, took me awhile to drag over to my 1959 VW I had at the time.
Then a week later I was up that way again , and the orange groves were all gone. Being a person you likes history, and when it's Pomona's history. I knew I was watching history being destroyed before my eyes. So I knew I had to save something, glad I did, now I can share it with you all.
I will leave you with pictures of my cactus, with the bee's all over them. Not sure if your able to see them. But believe their there, they didn't like me taking their picture. So I took some shots, before they got pissed off. Well they did anyway, stupid bee's.
Ren's logo to your right, The Flying Chili.
