Ray Adamyk, CEO of One of Nation's Leading Restoration and Preservation Firms, Buys Iconic YMCA Building in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. - Ray Adamyk, founder and chief executive officer of Spectra Company, one of the nation's leading restoration and preservation firms, today announced that he has purchased the iconic YMCA Building located at 350 N. Garey Avenue in Pomona, Calif. for $2.65 million. Bank of the West provided financing to Adamyk and the seller was Sheng Ma, LLC. Spectra Company will restore and renovate the property.

"Buying the historic YMCA Building is an honor and I'd like to thank the City of Pomona and Bank of the West for helping to make it happen," said Adamyk. "Spectra Company has restored some of California's greatest landmarks, but this has been an especially rewarding and personal achievement as I have done business in Pomona for the last 17-plus years and my ife and I are proud residents of this great city. We look forward to restoring the YMCA to its original grandeur."

Spectra Company will begin the restoration and renovation of the building later this summer with a groundbreaking ceremony to follow. The costs to complete the project are estimated to be $7.5 million. Bank of the West will provide the loan for construction. A Grand Opening of the new YMCA Building is tentatively planned for early 2019. City officials see the future of the YMCA Building as a key component to the overall revitalization of Pomona.
