SUSPECT: Clint Brandon BERNARDEZ, 31, Perris Resident
SUSEPCT VEHICLE: White 2002 Toyota Camry
UNIT: Pomona Police Department – Major Crimes Task Force
NARRATIVE:
On Thursday, April 19, 2018 the PPD Major Crimes Task Force conducted a vice operation focused on the area known as the Holt Corridor. The operation used plainclothes officers who conducted surveillance along the Holt Corridor. During the course of the operation, officers conducted surveillance of a suspect prostitute loitering on East Holt Ave. During surveillance the suspected prostitute was contacted with BERNARDEZ. After interviewing both parties, it was determined that BERNARDEZ had transported the female from San Bernardino to Pomona to work as a prostitute. BERNARDEZ was arrested for 266i PC – Pandering while the female was arrested for 653.22(a)(1) PC – Loitering to Commit Prostitution.
The Pomona Police Department takes a zero tolerance approach to human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The operation was conducted in response to numerous complaints received from residents and local business owners. The Pomona Police Department is taking a proactive approach to improving the quality of life by addressing and deterring human trafficking and prostitution activities along the Holt Ave corridor.
