The American Museum of Ceramic Art is proud to offer free admission and hands-on clay experiences for families to spend quality time together! Admission to the Museum is FREE for all from 12:00 – 5:00 pm.
To reserve your spot, please call the museum at 909.865.3146 or email education@amoca.org before June 14th. Reserve space for every member of your party as our studio has a maximum capacity. A confirmation email will be provided to all registered participants in advance of the event with final details.
Using air-dried clay, participants will have the chance to make their own bulb sculptures based on artworks in the Brent Hendry: Frayed exhibition. When the clay dries you can paint it with acrylic or tempera paint at home! The AMOCA Ceramics Studio Clay Experience is free for Pomona residents (residents must bring proof of zip code). The clay experience is $5.00 per family of four for non-Pomona residents and $2.00 per additional member. Non-Pomona residents may pay at time of arrival. Reservations are required for all clay experience participants.
Please arrive 10 minutes early so you’ll have ample time to check in, late visitors are not guaranteed a spot. Waiting lists will be available at the front desk.
*Family Day is exclusively for families, and we are unable to accommodate groups such as scouts and clubs. Please contact the Museum if you would like to make a private reservation for your group.
