George Hammons is author of the chapbook Hungry To Bed/ Love Poems by George Hammons (Arroyo Seco Press, 2017). His poetry has been published in The Arizona Republic (Sunday Calendar), Sand Canyon Review, Cadence Collective: Year Two Anthology, Pacific Review and American Mustard.  George studied radio and television communications at Cal State University Fullerton and Santa Ana College and in 2016 he received a certificate, in English; Creative Writing, from Cal State University San Bernardino,  where he worked as a staff member. In recent years George has enjoyed serving as a judge for San Bernardino County in the, nationwide, “Poetry Out Loud” competition, sponsored locally by The Arts Council of San Bernardino County. Currently (Throughout December 2019) George’s poem “Downtown Phoenix 1959” is displayed at Arizona State University’s School of Evolution and Social Change, as part of the  exhibition “The Great Migration,” which documents the movement of Black Americans from the south to the north and west from the early 1900’s throughout the 1970’s.
George is a local (So. Cal) poet who has quietly impressed a small and loyal following, comprised of poets and non-poets alike. George acknowledges that his path to poetry has been non-traditional and therefor he is often unorthodox in his attitudes towards written work as well as performance. George has recently taken to referring to himself as a “People’s Poet’” and he is fond of telling people “I’m nobody,” meaning that he hasn’t won any awards nor has his work often been published. But he does believe that his dedication to craft, as well as his ability to give subtle yet profound, presentations (of his work) are a reflection of his commitment and desire to evolve and contribute to the literary world through poetry. George writes about social justice, family and love and is unapologetic about his sentimentality regarding all three.

Kevin Ridgeway lives and writes in Long Beach, CA.  He is the author of the poetry collection "Too Young to Know" (Stubborn Mule Press).  His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Slipstream, Chiron Review, Nerve Cowboy, San Pedro River Review, The Cape Rock, Spillway, Up the River, Ghost City Review, KYSO Flash, Home Planet News, Cultural Weekly, Big Hammer, Misfit Magazine, Shrew Literary Magazine, The American Journal of Poetry and So it Goes: The Literary Journal of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library.  He has been nominated multiple times for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net.
