Downtown Pomona 1933
Standing on W. Second St. looking south on Thomas St. The old bank to the right, is where the Glass House is today and the building to the left, is now a parking lot for Chase Bank. And down further on Third St., to the left is the Progress Building with the flag waving and to the right on that corner, is where the California Theater use to be, you can see the sign. And across the street from that, the building is gone and now it's a parking lot.

Pomona Christmas Parade with Santa Claus 1926
The first two pictures were taken between Garey Ave. and Locust St. looking west on Second St.
Not sure about this one, it's on Second St. I need to get back to you on this one.
The cross street is Park Ave. looking west on Second St. and the star of the show was Santa Claus and his Reindeer.
Todays find.
Today on my morning ride, Ptown and I came across this. Someone just dumped it near an alley near White Ave. Underpass, this will look great with the rest of my rustic tin items that I have.
Not sure what the name or what you would call it, large bucket, leaf bucket, wash bucket. I can go on and on, because people would use these in different ways.
Well anyway I found a great place to put it, and when it rains, it should make a cool drum noise, along with the tin roof sound. Mother Natures Music, cool.

A Pomona Christmas 1937
This picture was taken on the southeast corner of W. Third St. and Thomas St. looking south in front of the Progress Bulletin. Nice Christmas decorations B^).
A Pomona Christmas
Not sure about the year, but it looks like the late 1950's. This picture was taken right in front of the John P Evens store on west Second St. looking east, the next cross street is Thomas St.
These are the days I miss, the one thing that sticks in my mind. Is sometimes when you walk buy Thrifty's or Woolworths, the smell of popcorn. But during the Christmas season, there were stockings full of candy and small toys in store front windows. And in others there was Christmas trees with those old fashion lights, like the kind when I was growing up, with presents in colors of red and white with big ribbons in different colors. Reminds me of when I got my first train set. And the Christmas Parade was something to see as a kid on Second St., well anyway these are the days I miss.
A Pomona Christmas 1956
Looking east on Second St. the first cross Street is Thomas St., then Garey Ave. These are the days I miss.
