SoCal MFA Juried Exhibition

SoCal MFA Juried Exhibition is launching its fifth installment at the Millard Sheets Art Center. The exhibition, organized by MFA students from Claremont Graduate University in conjunction with the Millard Sheets Art Center, provides both a platform for Southern California’s emerging artists to exhibit new directions in art and a learning experience for CGU students to work with art center staff in creating a large-scale juried exhibition.

 This year’s juror is artist Devin Troy Strother. Strother is an American artist based in New York, and he is best known for his intricate alternate narratives in a variety of mediums (mixed media, sculpture, neon, and installation).

 Strother selected more than 25 works ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and multimedia by Zafirah Ahmed, Ashleigh Clayton, Giselle Daneshmand, Manyu Gao, Stephanie Huang, Jonah Jackson, Lauren Moradi, Luis J. Moreno Napoles, Haylie Roche, Briar Rosa, Adrienne Sacks, Ziba Safavian and Danielle Trent.
