George Cross & Sons, Inc. presents the West Coast’s Largest Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show seven times per year. At each event, you will find hundreds of vendors in over 2,000 vendor spaces selling tons of hard to find car parts and accessories at low swap meet prices.
Thousands of original and restored classic vehicles will be on display and for sale in six specialized Car Corral sections: Pre 1985 Classics, any year Corvettes, any year Porsches, Pre 1959 Street Rods, Pre 1985 Volkswagens and Pre 1985 Imports.
Since 1975, millions of automotive enthusiasts have come to Pomona from across the nation and around the world to find car parts, accessories, automobilia, customs and classics. Make plans to participate in our next event! Come to buy, come to sell, come to look!
General admission is $10, children 12 and under are admitted FREE.

3-7 p.m.If it's the first Wednesday of the month, it's the NHRA Museum's Twilight Cruise Night with fun for all ages to enjoy hundreds of hot rods, classic cars and even a few vintage race cars on display.
Experience music, food, fun and just $3 to visit the historic Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum after 3 p.m. on cruise nights.
Cruise-ins, $5 entry per car, will receive a ticket for the drawing held during the evening for a chance to win a cash prize. Museum members are free; spectators not cruising in are admitted free to the cruise..

HISTORY
National Go Barefoot Day was created by the people at Soles4Souls. The holiday got its start after the Tsunami disaster in 2004 to support those affected by the event. However, donations have continued to come in and over 19 millions of pairs of shoes have been donated worldwide since 2005.

National Heimlich Maneuver Day June 1
NATIONAL HEIMLICH MANEUVER DAY
Each year on June 1, National Heimlich Maneuver Day is observed. Using abdominal thrusts to force air from the lungs to expel an object on which someone is choking is called the Heimlich Maneuver. Dr. Henry J. Heimlich created this life-saving procedure in 1974. The Heimlich Maneuver is also referred to as “Abdominal Thrusts”.Certified instructors teach the Heimlich Procedure, and these courses are available across the country. Today would be a good day to research the available training in your area. According to the American Red Cross “choking causes over 3,000 deaths per year.” Having the proper training and knowledge may help to save someone’s life.

Mayor Keith Summey of North Charleston, South Carolina proclaimed June 1 as Say Something Nice Day in 2006 in recognition of the communication efforts of specialist Dr. Mitch Carnell founder of the day. Carnell is also the author of Say Something Nice: Be a Lifter at Work. The South Baptist Convention and the Charleston-Atlantic Presbytery joined with Carnell to establish the day.

Yard Sale weekend June 3 and 5th
It's true that one person's trash is another person's treasure! And a yard sale is the ideal way to recycle your formerly favorite items.
Yard Sales are only allowed on designated weekends in the City of Pomona. In 2016 yard sales are permissible only on the following dates:
- March 4, 5, and 6;
- June 3, 4, and 5;
- September 9, 10, and 11 (2nd weekend due to Labor Day); and
- December 2, 3, and 4.
- Items for sale must be used goods or wares of a household nature (from your household) and not purchased elsewhere for resale.
- Two signs are permitted (per household) and must be posted on private property & promptly removed after the sale days.
- Signs may not be posted on public property (for example, telephone poles, streetlights, traffic signs or city trees)
- Violation of the City's yard sale ordinance or posting illegal signage on public property will result in a citation and fine.
