Here Comes Monrovia Days 2013!

 


Monrovia is Proud to celebrate it's 127th Birthday May 18, 2013! This year is packed with activities for the whole family! This year Monrovia Days celebration will kick-off at 7am with a Pancake Breakfast with hot pancakes from the Monrovian Restaurant, sizzling sausage from JAKES, fresh fruit, milk and OJ. Tickets are $5 dollars. Tickets can be purchased on-line at centrestageinc.com, at the event or at Distinctive properties on Myrtle Avenue.
While you enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast, there will be live entertainment from 7am to 3pm by the students of Centre Stage and many local bands and entertainers. There will also be opportunities to honor our blue star families by making cards to send our Monrovian's over seas.
Along with the entertainment, Monrovia's Library Park Band Shell Lawn will transport you back in time to a vintage carnival filled with games, prizes, local merchants for shopping and yummy treats for the whole family!
And Don't miss our Birthday Celebration at 11:30am as Mayor Lutz pays tribute to our founder Monroe and a special cake cutting ceremony for the whole community.
So weather you plan to bring a blanket and bask the day on the lawn listening to great music of every decade, or take a stroll through the park, This years Monrovia Days Celebration will take you back to our yest-er years while showing our cities promise through our youth of its bright future.
