La Verne Set to Cruise into Easter Weekend Fun

It’s going to be a busy Saturday for La Verne as the city presents its annual Easter Egg hunts and the Cool Cruise classic car show in Old Town La Verne.
The cruise is scheduled 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday at D and Third streets, just south of Bonita. The event will feature classic rock music and have a number of classic cars on display, city officials said.
This is the biggest annual event in Old Town, city officials said.
The Easter Egg hunts are scheduled at 10 a.m. at Las Flores Park, 3175 Bolling Avenue and at Emerald Park, corner of Genesee and Chelsea drives.
The La Verne Rotary Club and the La Verne Community Services Department co-sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt. Ages 1-12 are welcomed. Participants will get the chance to gather eggs, candy, and prizes.
Participants should bring their own baskets to collect the eggs.
Both events are free to open to the public.
* EDITORS NOTE: The city has listed the car show times as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patch is listing this time. However the poster above lists the time as 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
