Residents Tied Up, Held at Gunpoint as Home Ransacked



Two Manhattan Beach residents were tied up and held at gunpoint Thursday night as their home was ransacked, said Manhattan Beach Police.

The adult woman arrived home around 8:30 p.m. to find two suspects burglarizing the residence in the 1600 block of Fifth Street. She was tied up and held at gunpoint, police said. When her father came home later, he, too, was tied up and held at gunpoint.
The two residents were able to escape and call police around 12:30 Friday morning after the burglars left with some items.

One suspect is described as a black male adult, 20- to 30-years old, 5'10" with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The other suspect is described as a black male adult, 25- to 35-years old, 5’10” with a medium build. He, too, was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Anyone with information about this crime should call Detective Michael Rosenberger at (310) 802-5127. Police want information on any suspicious vehicles or persons that were in the area on Thursday afternoon.
