Attempt Murder Suspects Arrested by Pomona Officers after fleeing the scene of a shooting and leading officers on a foot chase.
On September 1, 2014, at approximately 1846 hours, Police dispatch received calls regarding a victim of a shooting at Dupont and Cathy Ave. Callers also advised the suspects possibly fled the scene in older red Astrovan.
As an officer was arriving at the scene, he observed the Astrovan leaving the area and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. Both suspects were positively identified as the suspects involved in this shooting. The weapon was also located.
The victim was treated at the scene by LA County Fire personnel and flown out to an area hospital in stable condition.
The motive for this shooting is currently being investigated and is believed to be gang related.
