Deceased Person Investigation
Female, Identification Pending
On Monday September 14, at approximately 8:00 am a security officer at the park and ride, located at Gillette Ave. and Fairplex Dr., contacted the Pomona Police Dept. to report a deceased person in a vacant field adjacent to the lot. Officers responded and observed the deceased person in the brush. Due to the condition of the body, officers where only able to identify the deceased as a female and there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The Los Angeles Coroner's Office responded to assist and determined that the body had been dead for several weeks. The investigation is a Coroner's case until the cause of death can be determined.
