Anita Hill Talks Equality at Claremont McKenna

Author and Brandeis University professor Anita Hill spoke about equality and her book during an evening lecture hosted by Claremont McKenna College on Oct. 31.
The event drew a crowd of about 230 students, faculty and community members to the college’s Athenaeum. Hill’s talk, titled “Reimagining Equality,” was based on her 2011 book of the same name. A book signing was also held during the event.
Her address was met with a standing ovation, organizers said.
Earlier in the day, Hill met with about 20 students for an hour-long conversation.
“The students were thrilled,“ said Athenaeum director Bonnie Snortum.
The Kravis Leadership Institute, the Berger Institute for Work, Family and Children, the Robert Day School of Economics and Finance, the Center for Writing and Public Discourse, and the Athenaeum jointly sponsored Hill’s visit to Claremont McKenna.
