Fun and Free is not Far From Claremont and La Verne

This weekend's rainy weather is cooperating with at least one event occurring across Southern California -- the eighth annual "Museums Free For All."
The event offers free admission today at several art galleries, cultural centers and museums from Long Beach to Pasadena to the Westside of Los Angeles.
Museums open for free include the Annenberg Space for Photography, the Autry, California African American, California Science Center, Fowler at UCLA, Hammer, Getty Center, and Getty Villa.
Also open are the Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Latin American Art, the Paley Center for Media, Skirball Cultural Center and the Long Beach State University Art Museum.
A portion of participating museums were also open Jan. 26. The Craft and Folk Art Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Tolerance, the Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Museum of California Art were offering free admission today only.
Some museums will charge admission to special shows, or for parking, and some require advance reservations. Exact information about that, and operating hours, is available at the MuseumsLA.org website.
