Nervous Structure is an interactive installation created by the pioneering emerging artists Annica Cuppetelli (USA) and Cristobal Mendoza (Venezuela) who began their artistic collaboration in the Fall of 2010. The Nervous Structure installation is composed of thousands of vertical elastic lines illuminated with interactive computer graphics that react to the presence and motion of viewers. A visual and sensory conversation between body, mind, line, light and space is created as the moiré effect is activated by the viewer. As participants experiment with moving their bodies, they generate art in the moment. Come meet and celebrate the artists during an opening reception from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, January 10th, 2013, with a special walk-through with the artists at 6:30 pm.
