MONTCLAIR -- The city will officially open the Splash Pad, a zero depth water playground, and provide information on its summer youth programs on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Alma Hofman Park, 5201 Benito St.
The free event will also include an inflatable water slide, games and activities for kids. Swim wear is required for the Splash Pad and water slide.The event will also provide information of the city's summer programs, open to youth who live, attend school or have a parent who works in Montclair. Families will have the opportunity to learn about summer programs, meet program staff and register on site. Those families that attend will receive a $15 discount on registration (one discount per family). A hot dog lunch, including a hot dog, chips and a drink will also be available for $3.
