Cadillac Strikes Deer, Kills it on 57 Freeway
A deer struck by a Cadillac DeVille Sunday suffered fatal injuries and its carcass blocked the carpool lane of the Orange (57) Freeway for a time.
The crash on the northbound side, south of Diamond Bar Boulevard, was reported just before 7:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Cadillac driver reported the crash and drove the disabled vehicle to a nearby gas station, the CHP reported.
A dispatcher told Patch that the expired deer was picked up by animal control officers and the Cadillac was towed.
The road was clear by 7:50 p.m., the CHP reported.
