Motorists through Claremont might want to avoid the stretch of College Avenue between 4th and 6th streets.
City Manager Tony Ramos said at the council meeting last night that workers are looking into a possible sink hole on southbound College.
Southbound traffic between Fourth and Sixth will be blocked off today.
"The repairs will be made as quickly as possible," Ramos said.
