Girl Scouts day set at Bass Pro Shops

RANCHO CUCAMONGA - Girls in kindergarten through 12th grade and their families will have the opportunity to learn all about Girl Scouts and the great outdoors at the first-ever annual Girls Day @ Bass Pro Shops on Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.
Bass Pro Shops, Rancho Cucamonga and Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles have collaborated to create this fun-filled event with over 2,000 participants expected -- including many current Girl Scouts and their parents. The event will feature a number of outdoor skills workshops (focusing on camping essentials, outdoor cooking, casting, archery, and knots and lashing). In addition, girls will be able to participate in a number of crafts, a store-wide scavenger hunt, and learn all about Girl Scouts-the premier leadership development organization for girls. The Ontario Reign, Auto Club Speedway, Forestry department, Chick-fil-a, Farrell's, Corner Bakery, and the local fire and police departments will be present to share Iinformation and provide additional hands-on activities for attendees. Local country band Rodeo Revival will also perform. Those interested in participating should RSVP by emailing GirlsDayAtBassPro@gmail.com.
