The city is offering sponsorships for its "Mutt-Mitts" pet waste bag boxes stationed throughout the city.
The city of Monrovia wants you to think about the profitable prospects of poop.
The recreation department has started a sponsorship campaign that offers local businesses the chance to place a sign at one of the city's many "Mutt-Mitt" locations, where free dog dropping disposal devices are dispensed.
"Mutt-Mitts are biodegradable bags used by pet owners to dispose of pet waste, promoting park cleanliness and environmental stewardship," the department's website explains. "The Mutt-Mitts have become a popular resource for pet owners and are in high demand."
A one-year sponsorship on one station costs $425 and a two-station package is $750. Two-year sponsorships on a single station are $750. There are 16 stations throughout the city.
