CHP Officers, Cadets to Get 5.9 Percent Pay Hike
The Sacramento Bee reported Saturday that California Highway Patrol officers are poised to get a close to 6 percent hike in pay.
The newspaper's website reported that not only officers will be getting the raise but also cadets; the hike reflects average pay increases that five other law enforcement agencies in the state have received.
According to the newspaper, 4 percent of the hike will go toward salary and the remainder will go into health care coffers.
The other agencies that have received raises are San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Oakland police, as well as Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies, the website reported.
