Claremont, La Verne Library Patrons Get Greater Access
Patrons of the La Verne and Claremont libraries, part of the Los Angeles County Public Library System, have access thousands of digital magazine copies thanks to a newly launched system.
Claremont and La VerneLibrary users have access to thousands of digital magazines thanks to a new Zinio program launched by the Los Angeles County Library systems.
The system is an edition of the popular digital newsstand designed specifically for library users. It provides a quick and easy way for users to read digital copies of their favorite magazines with their valid County library card, officials said.
“We’re excited to offer this innovative, convenient service,” stated County Librarian Margaret Donnellan Todd. “Zinio is the latest addition to our growing collection of digital services. With this new service, you can access hundreds of complete digital magazines that can be easily viewed on any internet-enabled device inside or outside the library,” notes Todd.
A library card is the key to entering the online book catalog at the County Library website. Next you will need to create your own password-protected Zinio account and download the Zinio application. The Zinio application works on Apple and Android devices as well as PC and Mac. Once you have created your Zinio account, there will be an opportunity to download the Zinio application that is needed to begin enjoying complete digital issues of popular magazines.
Zinio offers a wide range of magazines that includes areas such as sports, entertainment, travel, and business. Zinio is compatible with iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, and Android.
To register for Zinio, visit colapublib.org. If you have difficulties accessing Zinio, call or visit your local library or contact us through our website.
