Our Studios are inviting and offer an environment for self-expression to soar!
Home School Classes*
Home School Students to tour the featured dA exhibition and then head to the dA studios to engage in a combination Art History and related Studio Arts project.
All lessons comply with CA State Educational Standards. (Limit 15 students)
Classes for Ages 7 - 11 yrs.
Tuesday - 10:00 - Noon, Wednesday - 10:00 - Noon, Thursday - 10:00 - Noon
NOTE: Parents requested to supervise.
Classes for Ages 12 and over.
Tuesday - 11:00-3:00 PM, Wednesday - 1:00-3:00 PM, Thursday - 1:00-3:00 PM
Fee:$ 10 per student supplies included
Portfolio Prep - I, II, and III*
This class is designed for beginning and advanced artists to develop required core skills in Studio Arts. Tools to explore visual organizational principles as well as a chance to experience a variety of tools, media, styles, and approaches are demonstrated.
(L.A County High School for the Arts requirements and standard college portfolio requirements guide this course). Private lessons also available upon request.
Thursday: Portfolio I, 3:30 - 5:30 PM; Portfolio II, 6:00 -9:00 PM
Fridays: Portfolio I, 3:30 - 5:30 PM; Portfolio II, 6:00 -9:00 PM
Saturdays: Portfolio III, 9:00 - Noon

dA Studio Art Classes
Ceramic Workshop*
Explore hand building and sculpture techniques. Students work on projects of their own choice once basic skills have been achieved. All levels are welcome.
Thursdays 6:30 - 9:00 PM
Instructor: JoAnne Campanella
Fee: $60/ 4 week session, includes materials.
Figure Drawing
Develop and strengthen your figurative skills through observation of live models and staged backdrops. No Reservations Required.
Thursdays 7:00-10:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 - Noon

Fee: $10 Adults/ $5 Students w/ID
Open Clay Workshop*
Phoebe Millerwhite is a ceramic sculptor from Southern California and teaches ceramic hand building at First Street Gallery Art Center in Claremont. Phoebe has a Masters degree in Folklore from Memorial University of Newfoundland, in St. John’s Canada, and her work is infused with folkloric and vernacular artistic themes.
Saturdays 9:30am to Noon
