Diamond Bar Woman Robbed at Knifepoint

A Diamond Bar woman was robbed at knifepoint in the early morning hours while returning to her home.

At just after midnight Wednesday , the victim was approached outside of her home in the 2000 block of Silver Hawk Drive by a man wielding a knife, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Saleeby said.

The suspect demanded the victim's purse, she gave it him, and he fled, Saleeby said.

The male suspect is described as around 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 to 180 pounds, with dark hair.  He was wearing a black short-sleeve shirt and dark checkered shorts, Saleeby said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Walnut-Diamond Bar Sheriff's station at 909-595-2264.
