One Year After Grand Opening, Volunteers Requested At Rosemont Preserve

The grand opening of the Rosemont Preserve was just over one year ago this week, and to cap the milestone, the organization that owns it will be holding a volunteer restoration event this Saturday.

The 8-acre preserve was purchased in 2012 by the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, a local non-profit that works to secure land in the San Gabriel Mountains to protest it from development.
The above photo come from last year's public open house on July 2, which offered residents the first official glimpse at the open space area locked off at the top of Rosemont Avenue.

The group will be there from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday and anyone from the public is invited to show up to help work on trails in the preserve.
