Patti LaBelle Kicks Off New Season At Cerritos Center For The Performing Arts


The 2013-14 season features everything from '80s greats to Broadway classics.

Two-time Grammy award winner Patti LaBelle will take the stage at Cerritos Center For the Performing Arts  on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The show starts at 8 p.m. with Boston acapella group Ball In The House, opening for the Motown legend. LaBelle is kicking off the 2013-14 season at the performing arts center, featuring a diverse lineup.

Motown legend Smokey Robinson, hepcats Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Doo Wop swooners The Chiffons are just a few music acts scheduled. Appearances from celebrity chef Alton Brown, mariachis and Broadway On Ice will also be featured at the 154,000 square-foot venue.
The Choose Your Own Season package lets patrons choose five performances for a 10 percent discount if ordered before Aug. 17. Other series packages honored for the limited time discount are the Broadway, Memory Lane and Rob Kapilow’s What Makes It Great? series.
