Registration Open for Monrovia Area Partnership Neighborhood Conference


The MAP event kicks off in August and includes 23 workshops and a bus tour hosted by Mayor Mary Ann Lutz.

The city of Monrovia has officially begun inviting residents to sign up for the Monrovia Area Partnership's annual neighborhood conference scheduled for next month.

The free event, which includes 23 workshops and a variety of other activities designed to engage residents, kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Monrovia High School from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Throughout the day, participants will enjoy free food, entertainment, workshops and small group discussions with other residents, community leaders, city staff and local officials," a city news release states.

Mayor Mary Ann Lutz will also lead a bus tour through town as part of the conference, according to the release. Workshop topics include:
  • Bully & Cyber Bully Prevention
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Environmental Services
  • Community Event Planning
  • Gang Prevention & Intervention
  • Communication & Leadership Training
