Citrus College Offering Free ESL Classes


The non-credit classes start Aug. 26.

Citrus College, 1000 West Foothill Blvd., Glendora, is offering free English as a Second Language classes this fall.
The non-credit classes begin Monday, Aug. 26 and will be available Mondays through Thursdays during mornings and evenings. There will be five levels of ESL classes designed to bring students to English fluency.

According to a statement by Citrus College, “Students will learn and practice reading, writing, listening and speaking in a communal, interactive and engaging environment. The classes will cover grammar, punctuation, pronunciation, and vocabulary.  Students will learn functional language skills they can immediately apply in their daily lives.”
Students must register before Aug. 26, but can join the program at any time. Textbooks are about $25 and a parking permit is $50.
