Damien High Graduate Assumes Command of Army Brigade


Col. Robert T. Ault’s latest position is just one of his many Army distinctions.

Col. Robert T. Ault, a Damien High graduate, assumed command of the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Carson, Colo. during a ceremony in July.
Ault, a 24-year veteran of the Army, grew up in Rancho Cucamonga and Upland and attended Damien High School in La Verne. He graduated from Cal State San Bernardino and obtained a master’s degree from Webster University.
Ault has been awarded a Bronze Star with three oak leaf clusters, a Purple Heart, the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal with a No. 4 device, Combat Action Badge, a Master Army Aviator Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge.
Ault has been married to his wife Kristi for 23 years. They have two sons, Ryan, 21, and Matthew, 19.
