 Paramedics rush the victim, a man in his 40s, to an area hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, police say.

A woman returned to her home in Eagle Rock Saturday and found her gardener lying in the front yard, suffering from three gunshot wounds, according to a police officer.
Paramedics rushed the shooting victim, a man in his 40s, to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to Los Angeles police officer Sally Madera of the Media Relations Section.

The shooting in the 1800 block of North Avenue 51 was reported to police at about 10 a.m., according to Madera. There was no suspect information.
On Tuesday, a man was shot in the foot about five blocks away in Highland Park by a man who reportedly drove up in a car and fired at the victim after asking where he was from.
Editor's Note: The initial City News Service report said Saturday's shooting occurred in Highland Park, but the incident actually occurred in Eagle Rock, near the border with Highland Park.
