School bus breaks down on Pomona Freeway, no Injuries
A CHP patrol car pushed the bus out of the lane onto the roadside to await a tow, the CHP reported.
There were no injuries reported when a church school bus became disabled in the carpool lane of the Pomona (60) Freeway Thursday, just before the 5 p.m. rush hour, authorities said.
The incident on the eastbound side, just west of the Orange (57) Freeway, was reported about 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A CHP patrol car pushed the bus out of the lane onto the roadside to await a tow, the CHP reported.
The passengers on the bus -- a CHP dispatcher told Patch it was from a church -- were placed on a second bus that arrived to replace the first one.
The dispatcher said the bus was moved fairly quickly and did not have much of an impact on traffic.
