Treat Your Kids to Free Breakfast at McDonald's in Long Beach

To emphasize the importance of a nutritious breakfast, full of proteins, vitamins and calcium, McDonald's restaurants in Long Beach will serve a free muffin breakfast sandwich, apple slices and 1 percent milk to all grade school kids.

"McDonald's line of Egg McMuffin sandwiches made with whole grain and served with apples and low fat milk provide students a great start that can be a catalyst for eating well throughout the day."

Clay Paschen, McDonald’s owner/operator and president of the McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California said the company has to give back to the communities that are so loyal to its stores.
“Southern California McDonald restaurants have a commitment to education and the well-being of children in the communities we serve," Paschen said.
"The back-to-school breakfast giveaway allows us to show that commitment. A hearty breakfast is just one way we can help equip students with the tools they need for a successful school year.”
