Welcome to Art @ the Adobe!
Each Reyes Adobe Days, we invite local artists and artisans to display their works on the grounds and in the park throughout the event. This year, we are expanding our traditional gallery in the barn of the historic grounds to include original artwork, glicees, and prints of artists selected to participate. The barn is transformed into a gift store that allows visitors to browse and shop works from local artists.
All work displayed during Reyes Adobe Days weekend will remain on display at the adobe throughout the weekend.
This year’s featured artist is Crystal Michaelson whose work expresses an interplay between the artist and her environment. Her work is visceral, immediate and raw. Her intuitive marks and gestures guide her through a process of layering, constructing, deconstructing and reconstructing. We are honored to feature her work at the 2013 Reyes Adobe Days.
In addition to our gallery, we have a number of artisan booths throughout the grounds of the event. This includes jewelers, sculptors, potters, antique vendors, and a variety of hand-made items that are unique in their style and appeal.
The Art @ the Adobe exhibit is open for viewing and shopping during all open hours of the event. Take the time to stop in and enjoy this great atmosphere and one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
Live entertainment will fill the grounds throughout the weekend. Book signings will also be offered on the grounds throughout the weekend.
Most events take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
