Last year's SoCalCross’ Spooky-Kross Weekend, one of the marquee cyclocross events on both the Southern California and national racing calendars, left its long-time home in the OC for new digs at Pomona’s Fairplex, site of the LA County Fair. A new venue meant room to include more events. Thus LA Bike Fest was born!
Anchored by two days of world-class cyclocross racing, the LA Bike Fest was an immediate hit drawing nearly 2,000 participants and over 6,000 spectators.
For 2013, LA Bike Fest in partnership with the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition will feature two days of cyclocross racing with Saturday’s Spooky-Cross Night Race happening under the lights, a 5K cross-country fun run on the CX course, a Breaking Away inspired Little 500 race, family fun rides, Oktoberfest, bike-in movie and concert, a vendor expo and swap meet, and more!
