Heritage Park was alive with activity on Saturday when area residents came out for La Verne Heritage Foundation’s first orange picking of the season at its grove.
Orange picking is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays through March, at 5001 Via De Mansion. For $5, the foundation will supply the bags and picking poles.
The Heritage Foundation was formed in 1985 with the challenge of rescuing Weber Ranch from destruction and is dedicated to preserving the city’s past, according to its web site.
