To truly enjoy the History of Pomona, you have to put on your walking shoes. There are things you can't see if your in a tour bus. You have to go out and walk the side streets and alleyways, to find the hidden treasure's of Pomona's History.
Like these two, it tells you what use to be here, but unfortunately this was painted over, but if you had someone to fill in the blanks. Then our history will live on, instead of just looking at a blank wall.
And did you know that there was a Montgomery Ward on 2nd St. this was the Delivery Entrance. Also it was located at two other locations, do you know where the other two were located at in downtown Pomona ?
And sadly some have been torn down, and as you can see a small memorial was built. Sitting between two building's of Western U and not even at the spot where it was located. They just stuck it
where it would be out of the way.
So like I said, put on your walking shoes, if you want to find Pomona's Hidden Treasure's. And hear the real stories of what life was like in those early years, in Pomona.
