June 19, 2014 is National Dump the Pump Day’s 9th year of celebrating and also encouraging people to save money by riding public transportation instead of driving. With gas prices being high and with a tight economy, riding public transportation is a good alternative and an economical way to save money. Many Americans use local public transportation to commute to and from work, school, appointments, shopping, errands, family visits and etc.
