POMONA -- The Pomona Kiwanis Club is raising funds to support its many programs vital to the impact to the children in the community as part of the city’s Collective Impact efforts.
The club has reserved for a fundraiser the Riverside Community Players Theatre, 4026 Fourteenth Street, Riverside, on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. At 6:15, the club will host hors d’oeuvres on the patio with beer and wine, at intermission will serve dessert.
A comedy, “Sylvia,” about a dog who adopts a man in a park and joins him and his wife with intriguing relationships. Tickets are $20.
On Oct. 18 from, 6 to 10 p.m., the club will hold its third annual Monte Carlo Night held at the Avalon Building in Fairplex in Pomona.
The cost is $45 which includes parking, a buffet dinner, live jazz band, $1,000 in play money to gamble. There will be a silent auction and live auction during the evening. The club is still accepting sponsorships.
