                         The Pomona Police Department's Vice Unit makes 37 arrests during July

 

The Pomona Police Department’s Vice officers have continued to focus efforts on the City’s prostitution and human trafficking related concerns. As a result of their ef...forts several arrests were made during the month of July.

In total, 37 arrests were made during the month. (24) individuals were arrested for “Loitering with the Intent to Commit Prostitution,” (12) additional arrests were made for the crime of “Prostitution,” One subject was arrested for “Directing and Supervising Prostitution,” and one juvenile was taken into protective custody after being found to be involved in prostitution activities.

Most of these arrests were in the area of the East Holt Avenue corridor, between Indian Hill Blvd and Towne Ave, including the connecting North-South streets. Aggressive enforcement efforts will continue.
