Pomona Woman Arrested for GTA and Meth



Pomona Police Officers were in the area of North Garey Avenue and Alvarado Street when they first observed a white Ford F-150 traveling north bound on North Garey Avenue. The vehicle then traveled east on McKinley Avenue and entered the east bound ramp of the 10 freeway. The vehicle drove east bound on the 10 freeway where officers attempted to pull the vehicle over for traffic violations. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens attempting to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver who was later identified as Martha Villa failed to yield and began accelerating ,switching lanes and failing to signal. Officers continued to follow her at a high rate of speed.

The female driver then exited the freeway at Central Avenue in the City of Montclair, while driving on the right shoulder. She continued down the ramp and ran the red light. She then drove north bound onto Central Avenue and traveled about a quarter mile colliding into a green Toyota truck exiting McDonald's.

The female then exited the truck and attempted to run away, but was captured and arrested. After she was arrested officers discovered that the truck she was driving was stolen from the City of Pomona. Additionally, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was subsequently arrested for the below charges:

3455 (b) (1) PC- Probation Violation
10851 (a) VC- Poss of Stolen Vehicle
2800.2 (a)VC- Felony Evading
11377 (a)VC- Poss of Methamphetamine
20001 (a) VC- Hit and Run
