Armed robbery occurred in Pomona, suspects were arrested within hours; thanks to the City of Fontana Police Department
On 2/26/15 at 2011 hours, two men entered the Discoteca Mamba Rumba/Metro PCS store at 1049 W. Mission Blvd. and robbed the store owner of thousands of dollars. Both men were masked and were armed with handguns. In addition to the money, other property specific to the business was taken and both men fled in an unknown direction of travel.
At approximately 2...200 hours, Fontana PD made a traffic stop in their city for a traffic violation. After contacting the occupants and in the course of their investigation, the officers found two handguns in the car along with a large sum of cash. They also found property indicating the name of a business which turned out to be the Discoteca Mamba Rumba.
Fontana PD contacted our department and learned that the two men they had detained matched the description of the robbery suspects. Pomona officers responded and took the two men into custody and transported them to the Pomona Jail. The men are:
Jason Overman, 22 yrs., Moreno Valley resident
Isaac Juarez, 30 yrs., transient
Each are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
