LAPD officer arrested on suspicion of human smuggling at US-Mexico border

An officer assigned to the LAPD's Hollywood Division was arrested Saturday after Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico border found someone hiding in his car, Eyewitness News has learned.

The officer, whose name was not released, faces possible human smuggling charges.

No further information was released. The Los Angeles Police Department declined Eyewitness News' request for comment.
