Vehicle vs Pedestrian Fatal Traffic Collision.

NARRATIVE:
On August 25, 2015, at 20:46 hrs, Pomona Police
Officers responded to an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle verses a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers found a male adult subject injured as a result of the accident. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location to provide medical treatment, however his injuries were too severe and he was pronounced deceased at the location.

Initial investigation revealed that the subject was struck by two different vehicles as he crossed the roadway. The driver of the initial vehicle remained at the location and is cooperating with the police investigation. The second vehicle and driver fled the location. Witnesses describe the second vehicle as a small, older, dark grey vehicle.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
