Did you know?

Arriving from Rhayader, a small community in Wales, in 1883, David Thomas Jones was one of Ontario’s early pioneers. He established one of the first businesses on Euclid Avenue. Located on the southeast corner of Holt Boulevard and Euclid Avenue, Jones’ General Merchandise Store served as a store, the Jones family residence, and a facility for city council meetings. The building would later become Ford Lunch. D.T. Jones became the first city mayor when Ontario incorporated in 1891.
