Texaco, Ben Hite's Service Station, 1946

If you grew up in Pomona, you knew the Ben Hit Texaco Service Station, on NW Eleanor and 5th Ave, Mission to the new people. You would pull up and the attendant would come to your car, fill er up, wash the windows, check under the hood. Now, that was service. Now, you have to get out of your car, pump your own gas, ignore the windows and go somewhere else for a under the hood check up. Most of the time the cashier are rude to your.....gone is the days of good service. My family went here for years, one is now gone. Pomona had it all.
