Did you know about Margaret Hamilton?

 

Margaret Hamilton, pictured on the far left, was born and raised in Ontario. Born in 1905, she attended local schools and graduated from Pomona College in 1927 with a bachelor’s degree, then went on to earn a certificate of librarianship from UC Berkeley in 1928. For 10 years she worked for the San Bernardino County Library, but some of you might remember her as the children’s librarian at the Ont...ario City Library, where she worked from 1941 until she retired in 1965. Miss Hamilton died in 1995. This lifelong resident of Ontario is pictured here in front of her home at 519 North Euclid Avenue around 1918, with her friends Josephine Campbell, Jessie Whittaker, and Jane Allen, along with a couple of cute dogs.
