2016 Year End Recap

AB 1719The 2015-2016 Legislative Session has come to a close and we have accomplished some great things this year! I am proud to report that I had nine bills reach the governor's desk and all of them were signed into law.
Here are some of the highlights:
  • A generation of lifesavers will be created by AB 1719 by requiring CPR instruction in high school health classes.
  • California's College Promise became a reality with AB 1741 which delivers $15 million in grants to help students successfully transition to college and complete their degree.
  • I worked with Assemblymember Autumn Burke on our AB 2722 to set aside $140 million for communities like ours to clean the air and encourage investments in green technology.
  • I proudly co-authored AB 2247 by Assemblymember Das Williams to ensure that the city of Pomona has the ability to purchase the Pomona Armory which will go a long way in helping the city respond to the homelessness crisis.
I appreciate all of your support this year! For a full recap of what we were able to achieve please visit my website.
Do you have an idea that you want to see turned into law? Take a minute to let me know.
Best Wishes,

Freddie Rodriguez
Assemblymember, 52nd District
