CicLAvia- HOLA on October 16, 2016

CicLAvia- HOLA on October 16, 2016

CicLAvia heads back to it's anniversary route through the Heart of LA on October 16 as Boyle Heights, Chinatown, DTLA, and Westlake will host the country’s largest open streets event! Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.

***METROLINK SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS***

***EXPECT DELAYS***
Metrolink and other rail providers are conducting major construction and maintenance projects during the month of October.  On October 16th, the day of CicLAvia-HOLA, Metrolink’s Orange County, Inland Empire-Orange County and 91/Perris Valley lines will be impacted by the City of LA’s demolition of the historic 6th Street Bridge, as well as various maintenance projects being performed by Metrolink and North County Transit District. The Antelope Valley and San Bernardino lines will not be impacted.
The very limited train service will be supplemented by buses to provide lifeline transportation alternatives for the region. However, those who take advantage of this service should expect and plan for delays.

CicLAvia events occur multiple times throughout the year in multiple locations throughout Southern California.  For more information, visit www.ciclavia.org.

CicLAvia Limited Capacity

Metrolink Bike Cars are in high demand across the Metrolink system as more cyclists continue to take the train. Due to the high demands across Metrolink’s system, there will be limited bike capacity during CicLAvia. Metrolink supports CicLAvia by adding Bike Cars on select trains. If the train cannot accommodate any additional bikes, you will be asked to take the next train or find alternative means of transportation to CicLAvia.

The conductor and or Metrolink staff at stations or onboard trains have the right to ask bikers to relocate to another passenger car or ask you to wait for the next train.

Special $10 Weekend Day Pass

Metrolink is offering a Weekend Day Pass for only $10. This pass allows a passenger to ride anytime, anywhere systemwide on either Saturday or Sunday. The Weekend Day Pass includes free connections to most rail or bus lines throughout Southern California.
